The Renovation of the University Hospital Olomouc

Abstract:

Diplomová práce na téma Obnova areálu Fakultní nemocnice v Olomouci se zabývá veřejným prostorem areálu zdravotnického zařízení. Návrh ve formě ideové studie prověřuje platnost obecných urbanistických principů Kevina Lynche na modelovém území areálu Fakultní nemocnice Olomouc. Koncepce a návrh vychází z teoretických poznatků o vývoji zdravotnických zařízení a o přínosu zeleně pro prostředí jejich venkovních prostorů. V rámci praktické části jsou uvedeny průzkumy a rozbory současného stavu i budoucích vizí týkajících se území. Dále navazuje řešení definovaných problémů pojmenováním východisek. Ta slouží jako základ pro tvorbu konceptu. Práce je architektonickou studií, jejímž výsledkem je jedinečný veřejný prostor, který zohledňuje specifické provozní vztahy spolu s potřebami jeho běžných uživatelů.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis on the topic Renovation of the University Hospital Olomouc deals with the public space of the medical facility. The proposal in the form of an ideological study examines the validity of Kevin Lynch‘s general urban principles in the model area of the University Hospital Olomouc. The concept is based on theoretical knowledge about the development of medical facilities and the contribution of greenery to the environment of their outdoor spaces. The practical part presents research and analyses of the current state together with future visions of the territory. Thesis follows the solution of defined problems by naming the starting points. This serves as a basis for creating the concept. The work is an architectural study with the result being a unique public space that combines the specific operational relationships along with the needs of its regular users.
