Účelom tejto práce je rozbor zodpovednosti zamestnávateľa za škodu podľa zákonníka práce a získanie uceleného a podrobného prehľadu o tejto problematike. Práca je rozdelená do šiestich kapitol. Prvá kapitola je venovaná definícii pojmov v oblasti pracovnoprávnych vzťahov. V druhej kapitole sú vymedzené teoretické poznatky k pojmu, funkciám a druhom pracovnoprávnej zodpovednosti.
