Orientation in space or surface in 4 years old children

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na orientaci v prostoru a rovině u čtyřletých dětí. Cílem této práce bylo zjistit, jak se děti ve věku čtyř let orientují v prostoru a rovině. A zda prostoru rozumí více dívky či chlapci. Výzkumné šetření bylo prováděno pomocí metody pozorování. Dětem jsem postupně a zábavnou formou zadávala čtyři úkoly. Při kterých jsem je pozorovala. Také jsem s nimi vedla diskuzi o tom, zda úkol mají provedený správně. Sledovala jsem šest dívek a šest chlapců z různých tříd, pod vedením různých učitelů. Avšak všechny děti byly z jedné mateřské školy. Došla jsem k závěru, že mnou zvolené děti se dokáží bez problémů orientovat v rovině, znají prostorové pojmy. Některým dětem dělá problém pravolevá orientace a orientace v prostoru dle předlohy. Ovšem velmi obtížná je prostorová stavba podle kresby z formátu ve 2D. Také jsem zjistila, že mnou zvolené dívky a chlapci se orientují v prostoru stejně. Není tedy rozdíl orientace v prostoru mezi pohlavím u čtyřletých dětí.

Abstract:

This bachelor´s thesis focuses on orientation in space and plane in four-year-odl children. The aim of this work was to find out how children at the age of four orient themselves in space and plane. And whether girls or boys understant space more. The research investigation was conducted using the observation method. I assigned four tasks to the children gradually and in a fun way. During which I observed them. I also had a discussion with them about whether they had done the task correctly. I watched six girls and six boys from different classes, under the guidance od different teachers. However, all the children were from the same kindergarten. I came to the concusion that the children chosen by me can orient themselves on a plane without any problems, they know spatial concepts. Some children have problems with right-left orientation and orientation in space according to the template. However, spatial construction according to a drawing from a 2D format is very difficult. I also discovered that the girls and boys I chose navigate the space in the same way. Therefore, there is no difference in orientation in space between the sexes in four-year-old children.
