Tato práce zkoumá vývoj genderového projevu v pořadu RuPaul’s Drag Race. Ukazuje, jak americký originál přeměnil drag v komoditu tím, že nekompromisně vyžadoval tradiční ženskou iluzi. Abstract:
This thesis analyzes the evolution of gender expression in RuPaul’s Drag Race. It argues the U.S. flagship commodified drag by strictly enforcing traditional female illusion. While contestant rebellion and cultural pressure forced RuPaul to gradually validate transgender performers, the institution reached a conservative plateau driven by both his exclusionary ideology and network capitalism.
