The fifth French republic - consensus or westminster democracy? Comparation of cohabitation and cooperation
Anotace:
Cílem této bakalářské práce je analýza Francouzské páté republiky z hlediska teorie konsensuální a westminsterské demokracie Arenda Lijpharta. Rozlišuje období kohabitace a spolupráce a pokouší se zjistit, zda-li jsou aktuální vztahy mezi prezidentem a parlamentní většinou relevantní pro zařazení Francie k jednomu z Lijphartem definovaných modelů.
Abstract:
The goal of the thesis is to analyze the French Fifth republic with the consensual and westminster democracy theory by Arend Lijphart. Thesis differeneciates between the period of cohabitation and cooperation and seeks whether the actual relations between the president and the parliamentary majority are relevant for clasification of French system according to the models described by Lijphart.
