The knowledge of women in the resuscitation of the newborn and infant

Abstract:

Předložená práce se zabývá problematikou znalostí žen v oblasti resuscitace novorozence a kojence. Zvolený problém jsem řešila pomocí kvantitativní studie. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část obecně shrnuje problematiku resuscitace, konkrétně je zde rozebrána problematika základní neodkladné resuscitace dětí do 1 roku věku, rozdělení dětského věku do 1 roku, anatomické a fyziologické odlišnosti dětí, problematika dušení, kardiopulmonální resuscitace, aspirace cizího tělesa a syndromu náhlého úmrtí kojence. V praktické části je zpracována analýza dat, které byly shromážděny metodou dotazníku a snaží se zaznamenat znalost žen v oblasti resuscitace dítěte do 1 roku, vědomí žen, kde tyto znalosti získají, zda se chtějí o této oblasti dozvědět více informací a zda jsou schopné resuscitovat velmi malé dítě. Provedeným šetřením byly zjištěny nedostatky ve znalostech z této oblasti.

Abstract:

The submitted work deals with the women´s knowledge of newborn´s and infant´s resuscitation. I solved this selected issue by using a quantitative study. The work is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part summarizes the issue of resuscitation in general, there is specifically analyzed the issue of basic life support of children under 1 year of age, the different stages of first year of children, the anatomical and the physiological differences of children, the issue of choking, the cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the aspiration of foreign body and the syndrome of sudden infant death. There is a data analysis in the practical part, which was collected by questionnaire method trying to record the women´s knowledge in area of resuscitation of children under 1 year of age, the knowledge of women, where they acquire this knowledge, if they want to learn more infomations about this area and if they are able to resuscitate a very young child. The investigation showed knowledge gaps in this area.
