Problematics of BYOD strategy at primary schools in Plzeň-město district

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na problematiku strategie BYOD na základních školách v okrese Plzeň-město. Samotná strategie spočívá v tom, že si žák přinese do školy nějaké své vlastní chytré zařízení a pracuje na něm ve vyučovací hodině v rámci výuky. Cílem této práce bylo seznámit se strategií BYOD a jejími principy, výhodami, nevýhodami a možnostmi využití této strategie ve vzdělávání na základních školách. Proběhla realizace polostrukturovaného rozhovoru s vedoucím oddělení podpory ZŠ a MŠ z SITMP, která spravuje 26 plzeňských základních škol, tento rozhovor byl prvním odrazovým krokem ke zmapování situace na základních školách v okrese Plzeň-město, což následně napomohlo k vytvoření dotazníkového šetření. Pomocí realizace dotazníkového šetření adresovaného ředitelům a učitelům základních škol v okrese Plzeň-město se zmapovalo využívání této strategie na těchto školách a problémy, případně obavy, se kterými se tito učitelé setkávají. Na dotazníkové šetření navazovala identifikace některých kritických míst zjištěných z dotazníkového šetření v zavádění strategie BYOD na základních školách v okrese Plzeň-město a následná tvorba podpůrné infografiky pro překlenutí těchto kritických míst.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on the problematics of BYOD strategy at primary schools in Plzeň-město district. The strategy itself is, that students bring their own smart devices and work with them in classrooms within lessons. The aim of this thesis is to get acquainted with the BYOD strategy and its principles, advantages, disadvantages, and possibilities of using this strategy in primary school education. A semi-structured interview was conducted with the head of the support department of primary schools and kindergartens from SITMP, which manages 26 primary schools in Pilsen. This interview was the first step towards mapping the situation at primary schools in the Plzeň-město district, which subsequently helped to create a questionnaire survey. The implementation of a questionnaire survey addressed to principals and teachers at primary schools in the district of Plzeň-město mapped the use of this strategy in these schools and the problems or concerns that these teachers face. The questionnaire survey was followed by the identification of some critical points identified from the questionnaire survey in the implementation of the BYOD strategy in primary schools in the district of Plzeň-město and the subsequent creation of supporting infographics to bridge these critical points.
