Model of the RC car chassis

Abstract:

Cílem práce je zjištění chování vyváženého podvozku R/C modelu oproti modelu, u kterého byla použita baterie se sníženou hmotností. K tomuto účelu byly vytvořeny počítačové simulace pomocí programu MSC. Adams, ve kterém bylo ověřeno chování modelu na třech vzorových režimech. V prvním případě se jednalo o rozjezd vozidla, ve druhém případě o intenzivní brzdění a poslední simulace se zabývala chováním modelu při přejezdu překážky jednou stranou modelu. Uskutečněné simulace ukázaly, že snížení váhy baterie mělo zásadní vliv na rozjezd modelu, kdy dochází k výraznému směrovému vybočení podvozku. V rámci práce vznikl designový návrh karoserie pro tento typ podvozku, který splňuje oficiální specifikaci pro závody v kategorii TC ? Touring Car.

Abstract:

The objective of this study is to determine behavior of balanced R/C model chassis against the behavior of chassis with reduced battery weight. For this purpose, computer simulations were created using MSC. Adams, in which the behavior of the model was verified in three standard modes. In the first case it was the start of the vehicle from a standstill. In the second case intensive braking of the model, and the last simulation deal with the behavior of the model during the crossing of obstacles by one side of the model. Carried simulations have shown that reducing the weight of the battery had a major impact on the start of the model, which leads to a significant directional deviation of the chassis. Within the frame of this study was made a design proposal of bodywork for this type of chassis. This bodywork meets the specifications for official races in the TC category ? Touring Car.
