Abstract:

Bakalářská práce Vliv hudby Herbieho Hancocka na vývoj populární hudby, Hip-hopu a RnB v souvislosti se samplováním se zabývá analýzou vlivu hudby Herbieho Hancocka, na vývoj populární hudby, zejména hip-hopu a R&B. Práce zkoumá, jak Hancockův experimentální přístup k jazzu, funku a elektronické hudbě, ovlivnil a formoval moderní hudební žánry. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována technice samplování, která se stala klíčovým prvkem v hip-hopu a R&B. Práce analyzuje, jak byly Hancockovy skladby použity v různých kompozicích, a jak tyto samply ovlivnily charakteristiku a vývoj těchto žánrů. Dále se zaměřuje na konkrétní příklady skladeb, které Hancockovy prvky využily. Práce kombinuje hudební analýzu, historický výzkum a teoretické přístupy k pochopení a ocenění Hancockova trvalého vlivu na hudební kulturu. Cílem je poskytnout komplexní pohled na Hancockův přínos k moderní hudbě a jeho trvalý dopad na hudební inovace, zejména v oblasti samplování.

Abstract:

The Bachelor's Thesis "The Influence of Herbie Hancock's Music on the Development of Popular Music, Hip-Hop, and R&B in Relation to Sampling" deals with the analysis of the influence of Herbie Hancock's music on the development of popular music, especially hip-hop and R&B. The work examines how Hancock's experimental work with jazz, funk, and electronic music has influenced and shaped modern musical genres.Special attention is given to the technique of sampling, which has become a key element in hip-hop and R&B. The thesis analyzes how Hancock's compositions have been used in various compositions, and how these samples have influenced the characteristics and development of these genres. It also focuses on specific examples of songs that utilized elements of Hancock's work, and examines the impact of their use on the music industry and the public perception of music.The thesis combines musical analysis, historical research, and theoretical approaches to understand and appreciate Hancock's lasting influence on music culture. The goal is to provide a comprehensive view of Hancock's contribution to modern music and his lasting impact on musical innovations, especially in the field of sampling.
