The aim of this thesis is to study a functional tests automation of web and desktop applications. Selenium and White are tools which are being actively used in the automation process in EmbedIT company and Ranorex is a possible candidate to replace these tools. Cieľom tejto práce je zoznámenie sa s problematikou automatizácie funkčných testov webových a desktopových aplikácií. Selenium a White sú aktívne využívané nástroje v procese automatizácie v spoločnosti EmbedIT a nástroj Ranorex je vhodný kandidát na ich nahradenie.
