Dead Body as an Artifact Exhibition
Abstract:
Bakalářská práce se zabývá základním pohledem na veřejnou prezentaci mrtvých lidských těl jako výstavních artefaktů. Zaměřuje se především na výstavu Bodies – The Exhibition a diskuze, které s ní byly spojeny. Dále nastiňuje historii pohřebních rituálů a umělce, kteří se smrtí, veřejnou prezentací a vstupem lidského těla do galerijních prostor zabývají.
Abstract:
This thesis deals with a fundamental look at the public presentation of the dead human body as an exhibition artifacts. It focuses primarily on exhibition Bodies - The Exhibition and the discussions that were associated with it. Outlines the history of funeral rituals and introduces the artists who undertake public presentations and interpret the dead human body through the galleríes.
