The Architecture, sculptural and painting embellishment of the interior of the chapel of the Visitation of Virgin Mary in Rýmařov

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá kaplí Navštívení Panny Marie v Rýmařově, někdy zvané také V Lipkách. Kaple je jednou z nejhodnotnějších historických památek současného Rýmařova. Práce se zaměřuje na stavební historii této památky, poskytuje také základní popis architektury, včetně freskové, malířské a sochařské výzdoby v interiéru kaple. Dále se zabývá jejím vnitřním vybavením a dalšími sochařskými památkami v bezprostředním areálu kaple. První kapitola se soustředí na shrnutí dosavadní literatury o kapli. Druhá kapitola pojednává o historii a výstavbě. Třetí kapitola se zaměřuje na samotný architektonický popis a také na popis exteriéru. Čtvrtá kapitola zahrnuje malířskou výzdobu kaple, včetně bohaté freskové výzdoby od olomouckého malíře Jana Kryštofa Handkeho, který je po smrti malíře Ferdinanda Nabotha dokončil. Pátá kapitola se zabývá sochařskou výzdobou, která se v tomhle kostele také nesmí opomenout. Součástí této kapitoly jsou také sochařské památky v blízkosti kostela. Na závěr práce obsahuje vlastní fotografickou dokumentaci.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the Chapel of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary in Rýmařov, sometimes also called V Lipkách. The chapel is one of the most valuable historical monuments of contemporary Rýmařov. The work focuses on its architectural history of this monument, also provides a basic description of architecture, including fresco, painting and sculptural decoration in the interior of the chapel. It also deals with its interior equipment and other sculptural monuments in the immediate area of the chapel. The first chapter focuses on a summary of the existing literature on the chapel. The second chapter deals with history and construction. The third chapter focuses on the architectural description and also on the description of the exterior. The fourth chapter includes the painterly decoration of the chapel, including the rich fresco decoration by the Olomouc painter Jan Kryštof Handke, who completed it after the death of the painter Ferdinand Naboth. The fifth chapter deals with sculptural decoration, which must not be overlooked in this church. This chapter also includes sculptural monuments near the church. At the end of the work contains its own photographic documentation.
