In my bachelor thesis I interpret the irony in a piece Missão by José Maria Ferreira de Castro as a social critique. The dissertation is divided in two parts. Meanwhile in the practical part I analyse the piece and irony, in the theoretical part I describe the theory needed for correct interpretation. V mojej bakalárskej práci interpretujem iróniu v diele Missão od José Mariu Ferreira de Castro ako kritiku spoločnosti. Práca je rozdelená na dve časti. Zatial čo v praktickej časti analyzujem dielo a iróniu, v časti teoretickej opisujem teóriu potrebnú k správnej interpretácii.
