Analysis of genetic differences between monoxenous and dixenous Leishmaniinae for identification of novel virulence factors
Abstract:
Leishmania is a dixenous (two hosts) parasite that infects vertebrates, including humans, and transmitted by a sand fly. This parasite causes leishmaniasis, a disease threatening millions of people around the world. Leishmania je dixenní (dvouhostitelský) parazit, který infikuje obratlovce, včetně člověka, a je přenášen koutulemi. Tento parazit způsobuje leishmaniózu, nemoc ohrožující milióny lidí na světě.
