Man's Thought and Machine's "Thought"

Abstract:

Práce Myšlení člověka a "myšlení" stroje především analyzuje dva typy argumentů. První skupina argumentů se snaží doložit, že existují různé důvody, proč stroj nemůže myslet. Druhá tvrdí, že Turingův test není vhodné kritérium, na jehož základě by se mělo o schopnosti stroje myslet rozhodnout. Cílem práce však rozhodně není předložit jejich absolutní výčet. Záměrem je prozkoumat, zda je smysluplné hovořit o "myslícím" stroji. Vzhledem k tomu, že i způsoby, jimiž se o realizaci ideje "myslícího" stroje její proponenti pokoušejí, a pohledy, jimiž je daná problematika prezentována před širokou veřejností, se různí, všímá si práce také těchto kontextů.

Abstract:

Thesis Man's Thought and Machine's "Thought" basically analyzes two types of arguments. The first argument group expounds that there are various reasons why machine cannot think. The second one says that Turing test is not the appropriate way how to ascertain whether machine thinks. But of course, presenting all of the approaches is not the aim of the analysis. The real intention is to explore if talk about machine's "thought" is meaningful. Considering the ways in which the proponents try to implement the ideas, and perspectives used in presenting the problematics to public, we may find them different. Nevertheless the thesis work these contexts as well.
