Abstract:

Tato práce popisuje důvody, které vedly ke vzniku organizace UNESCO, historii, organizaci, náplň činnosti a působnost UNESCO v oblasti výchovy, vzdělání, kultury, lidských práv, ochrany životního prostředí, komunikace. Dále práce posuzuje význam UNESCO z pohledu České republiky a to i na regionální úrovni. Cílem práce je ukázat činnost této organizace v celistvé podobě a upozornit, že UNESCO není jenom Seznam světového dědictví. Cílem je podat vyváženou informaci o zaměření UNESCO a aktuální přehled o jeho činnosti v oblasti kultury, vzdělání, komunikace, přírodních, sociálních a humanitních věd.

Abstract:

This thesis describe reason give rise organization UNESCO, history, organization, activity and UNESCO´s competency in the sphere of Educational, Scientific, Cultural, Human rights, protecting of living environment, communication. Thesis further judge UNESCO´s importance from sight of Czech Republic as well as on region´s level. The aim of this work is to show the activity of this organization in the whole form and note that UNESCO is not just a list of world heritage. The aim is to give balanced information about the interests of UNESCO and actual overview of its activities in the field of culture, education, communication, natural, social sciences and the humanities.
