Recovery program for a sports patient as a result of surgery for the resolution of patellofemoral syndrome: a clinical case

Abstract:

External hyperpressure syndrome is a pathological condition in which the patella is channeled and perpetually centered in the trochlear sulcus: it causes pain in the lateral region of the knee during flexion-extension movements. It mainly affects the female sex and in some some sports categories. Patella external hyperpressure syndrome's treatment can be conservative and / or surgical. The personalized post-surgical rehabilitation protocol drawn up by the physiotherapist, who plays an important role in the recovery phase of range of motion, muscle trophism and consequently algic symptoms reduction. The treatment consists of an active and passive phase integrated by hydrokinesitherapy session and physical therapy.

Abstract:

La sindrome da iperpressione esterna ? una condizione patologica in cui la rotula si trova incanalata e centrata perennemente nel solco trocleare causando dolore in regione laterale del ginocchio durante i movimenti di flesso-estensione. Colpisce principalmente il sesso femminile e in particolare alcune categorie sportive. Il trattamento della sindrome da iperpressione esterno di rotula pu? essere di tipo conservativo e/o chirurgico. Il protocollo riabilitativo post-chirurgico personalizzato, stilato dal fisioterapista, svolge un ruolo importante nel recupero dell'articolarit?, del trofismo muscolare e di conseguenza della riduzione della sintomatologia algica. Il trattamento consta di una fase attiva e passiva integrata da sedute di Idrokinesiterapia e terapia fisica.
