The Motivation of Primary Schoolchildren from the Perspective of Pedagogical Literature Versus Reality

Abstract:

Studentka v teoretické části charakterizuje pojmy spojené s motivací. Bude se zabývat definicemi motivace a druhy motivace, které se ve škole vyskytují. Dále bude vysvětlovat jak se motivace podle odborné literatury uplatňuje na žáky ZŠ. V praktické části bude studentka objasňovat výsledky, které zjistila pomocí kvalitativního výzkumu. Kvalitativní výzkum bude probíhat s učiteli i dětmi na běžné ZŠ, prostřednictvím rozhovorů a pozorování. Cílem práce bude porovnání motivace žáků na ZŠ z pohledu odborné literatury versus reality.

Abstract:

The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the characterization of terms connected with motivation. It closely describes the definitions of motivation, its classifications and practical occurrences. Further chapters explain how motivation can be used to influence the pupils, according to the academical sources. The analytic part focuses on interpretations of qualitative research outcomes. It was carried out through interviewing and observing the pupils and teachers on one of Czech primary schools. The main aim of the thesis is comparing the outcomes of the pupils observations, the theories described in literature and reality.
