Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare the British and American Industrial Revolutions with a special focus on the preconditions, progress and consequences. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first two chapters deal with the process of industrialisation in both countries. The third and last chapter provides a comparison of individual areas which were most affected by the Industrial Revolution in Britain and in the United States and examines the main similarities and differences between the two events. The thesis will be written in English.

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je porovnat průmyslovou revoluci ve Velké Británii a Spojených státech. Zaměřím se především na to, co této změně předcházelo, jaký byl její průběh a důsledky. Tato práce je rozdělena na tři hlavní části. První dvě kapitoly se zabývají procesem industrializace v obou zemích. Závěrečná třetí kapitola poskytuje srovnání jednotlivých oblastí, jež byly průmyslovou revolucí v Británii a ve Spojených státech nejvíce zasaženy, přičemž zkoumá hlavní rozdíly a podobnosti mezi oběma událostmi. Práce bude sepsána anglicky.
