Archers in the Roman Army of the Late Republic and the Principate
Abstract:
Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku lučištníků v římských armádách během období pozdní republiky a raného až vrcholného principátu. Obsahuje systematický přehled typů těchto jednotek v daném období. Součástí práce jsou též kapitoly věnované etnickému složení lučištnických oddílů a jejich významu pro římskou válečnou strategii.
Abstract:
This master thesis is focused on the issue of archers in the roman army during The Late Roman Republic and Early and High Principate. It offers a systematic overwiew of the types of these units in this period. This thesis also includes chapters dedicated to the description of the ethnic structure of archery units and their importance for the roman military strategy.
