Špecifickým odvetvím získavania informácií je matematické získavanie informácií, ktoré uprednostňuje matematické formule pred textom samotným. Systém MIaS slúži na indexovanie a vyhľadávanie matematiky v obrovských súboroch dokumentov. Abstract:
Mathematical information retrieval (MIR) is a specific field of information retrieval that values math formulae more than simple text. MIaS system can index and search for mathematics in large corpora of documents. This thesis evaluates the effectiveness as well as the efficiency of the system, to fine-tune MIaS to be established as a math-aware search engine of arXiv.org.
