The bachelor thesis deals with the newly enacted windfall profits tax in the banking sector in the Czech Republic. The thesis traces the legislative development that preceded the approval of this tax, how this extraordinary tax can be viewed, especially from the perspective of equal treatment and possible retroactivity.
