Support informal caregivers in long-term care for people with Alzheimer's disease

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na podporu neformálních pečujících v dlouhodobé péči o lidi s Alzheimerovou nemocí. Cílem teoretické části práce bylo popsat a analyzovat aktuální stav zkoumaného problému. V teoretické části práce jsou popsána teoretická a metodologická východiska práce, koncept dlouhodobé péče s důrazem na neformální péčí a tématika neformálních pečujících. Samostatná kapitola je věnována Alzheimerově nemoci. V kontextu neformální péče o nemocné s Alzheimerovou nemocí byly dále popsány formy podpory, jenž přímo či nepřímo směřují k neformálním pečujícím o nemocné s tímto onemocněním. Výzkumná část navazuje na teoretické poznatky. Ve výzkumu byla užita kvalitativní výzkumná strategie. Cílem výzkumné části práce bylo hlouběji porozumět potřebám neformálních pečujících o nemocné s Alzheimerovou nemocí v Krnově, zkoumat možnosti podpory neformálních pečujících v Krnově a analyzovat její potencionálně kritická místa. Aplikačním výstupem diplomové práce je informační materiál k podpoře neformálních pečujících o nemocné s Alzheimerovou nemocí v Krnově.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis is focused on the support of informal caregivers in the long-term care of people with Alzheimer's disease. The aim of the theoretical part was to describe and analyze the current state of the problem. The theoretical part describes the theoretical and methodological starting points of the thesis, the concept of long-term care with emphasis on informal care and the topic of informal caregivers. A separate chapter is devoted to Alzheimer's disease. In the context of informal care of patients with Alzheimer's disease, forms of support were also described which directly or indirectly aim at informal care of patients with this disease. The research part builds on the theoretical knowledge. A qualitative research strategy was used in the research. The aim of the research part was to further understand the needs of informal caregivers of Alzheimer's disease in Krnov, to explore the possibilities of support of informal carers in Krnov and to analyze its potentially critical places. The application output of the diploma thesis is an informational material for the support of informal caregivers about Alzheimer's disease in Krnov.
