The Bachelor thesis deals with an English painter of the Romantic era, John Constable. The thesis describes his life, personality, merit of his work, but it also analyses several of his important paintings. It also looks into the Dedham Vale, a place which has always been associated with the painter, and which encouraged him to become a landscape painter. Bakalářská práce se zabývá anglickým malířem období romantismu, Johnem Constablem. Práce popisuje jeho život, osobnost, přínos jeho díla, ale také analyzuje několik jeho významných konkrétních maleb. Rovněž se zabývá oblastí Dedhamského údolí, které je s malířem neodmyslitelně spojováno a které jej podnítilo stát se krajinářem.
