Abstract:
This bachelor´s thesis deals with diabetes mellitus as disease, types of diabetes, diabetes-associated complications and consequences of poor diabetes compensation for oral cavity. Part of the thesis clarifies the pathological effect of advanced glycation end-products on tissues of organism and on periodontium. Abstract:
Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá ochorením diabetes mellitus, jeho typmi, pridruženými komplikáciami a následkami zlej kompenzácie diabetu na ústnu dutinu. Súčasťou práce je objasnenie patologického pôsobenia konečných produktov neenzýmovej glykácie na organizmus a na samotný parodont.
