Use of magnesium fertilizers in winter wheat nutrition

Abstract:

Práce posuzuje vliv aplikace hořečnatých hnojiv při výživě pšenice ozimé. Experiment probíhal na dvou pokusných lokalitách v Žabčicích a ve Vatíně. V pokusu byly zkoumány hnojiva Kieserit a MgS Lovo 1 ve dvou termínech aplikace. Kieserit byl zkoušen při podzimní a jarní aplikaci. Vzorek MgS Lovo 1 byl taktéž testován při podzimní aplikaci, jarní aplikace tohoto potenciálně nového hnojiva byla rozdělena na dvě varianty ve dvou dávkách aplikovaných regeneračně. Jako kontrolní varianta bylo využito hnojivo LAD. Jednoletý polní pokus byl statisticky neprůkazný z hlediska variant hnojení při hodnocení výnosových a kvalitativních parametrů zrna pšenice ozimé. Ve výnosu byl sledován mírný nárůst, což můžeme přisoudit faktu, že hořčík pozitivně ovlivňuje funkci fotosyntézy. Rozdíly byly statisticky průkazné pouze mezi pokusnými lokalitami, a to ve všech posuzovaných parametrech. Tento faktor byl ovlivněn zejména klimatickými podmínkami a stavem půdy před zahájením pokusu.

Abstract:

The aim of this work is to examine the effect of the application of magnesium fertilizers to the average yield and qualitative parametres of winter wheat. The experiment was established at two experimental sites in Žabčice and Vatin. The fertilizers Kieserite and MgS Lovo 1 were examined in two application terms during the experimental years. Kieserite was tested during autumn and spring application. The MgS Lovo 1 sample was also applied during the autumn application, the spring application of this potentially new fertilizer was divided into 2 variants based on different doses. LAD fertilizer was used as a control variant. The effect of fertilization variants from one year of the experiment proved to be statistically insignificant to the provided yield and qualitative parameters. A minor increase in grain yield was observed after fertilization with Mg, which is supporting the positive effect of magnesium to the photosynthesis. The differences in each examined parameters were statistically significant only between the experimental localities. This examined factor was mainly influenced by the climate-soil conditions before the start of the experiment.
