Depreciation and interventions to the assets on selected folder of tangible fixed assets of the Synthesia, a. s. company

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá odpisováním dlouhodobého hmotného majetku (DHM) v rámci české účetní a daňové legislativy a v rámci Mezinárodních standardů účetního výkaznictví zemí Evropské unie. V práci jsou vymezeny základní pojmy týkající se odpisování DHM, jsou zde uvedeny metody odpisování včetně metody komponentního odpisování. Praktická část je zaměřena na výběr vhodné metody odpisování a způsobu zařazení vybrané složky DHM podniku Synthesia, a. s. V této části jsou analyzovány dopady použití jednotlivých metod odpisování DHM na výsledek hospodaření a základ daně a dále jsou demonstrovány dopady specifických zásahů v podobě vybraných druhů oprav a technického zhodnocení na výši odpisů.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with depreciation of tangible fixed assets within the Czech accounting and tax law and within in the International Financial Reporting Standards of the European Union. In the thesis, basic terms for tangible fixed assets depreciation are defined as well as methods for depreciation including the method of component depreciation. The practical part deals with selection of suitable method for depreciation and type of classification of selected folder of tangible fixed asset of the Synthesia, a. s. company. In this part, the impact of using different methods of depreciation of tangible fixed assets on net income and the tax base are analyzed and also the impact of the specific interventions to the assets in a way of technical assessment, repairs and maintenance of the amount of depreciation are demonstrated.
