Herbert Spencer and the Method of Social Science

Abstract:

Předmětem bakalářské práce "Herbert Spencer a metoda společenských věd" je představení různých přístupů k interpretaci příspěvku Herberta Spencera, který se týká jeho pohledu na povahu společenské reality. V první části jsou představeny obecné pojmy vztahující se k dané problematice a koncepty Spencera. Ve druhé části jsem zavedla vlastní klasifikační schéma pro strukturalizaci diskuse. Ve třetí části je představena samotná diskuse autorů, ve které jsou jejich příspěvky posouzeny na základě klasifikačního schématu.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis "Herbert Spencer and the Method of Social Science" is to show different approaches to interpretations of the work of Herbert Spencer which deals with his view of the character of the social reality. In the first part there are introduced general terms which relate to the issues and the concepts of Spencer. In the second part I implement my own classification scheme for the structure of discussion. In the third part there is introduced the discussion of the authors where their works are evaluated on the basis of the classificaton scheme.
