Bandwidth selection for kernel distribution estimation
Abstract:
In diploma thesis we study bandwidth selection for kernel distribution estimation. Construction and statistical properties of kernel distribution estimation and kernel density estimation is described. Thesis is mainly focused on bandwidth selection. Also the concept of boundary effects is explained. Theoretical knowledge is supplemented by a simulation study and application to real data.
Abstract:
V této diplomové práci se věnujeme volbě vyhlazovacího parametru pro jádrové odhady distribuční funkce. Popíšeme tvorbu a statistické vlastnosti jádrového odhadu hustoty a distribuční funkce. Pozornost věnujeme volbě vyhlazovacího parametru. Vysvětlíme pojem hraničních efektů. Teoretické poznatky budou doplněny o simulační studii a aplikaci na reálná data.
