From monopoly to oligopoly: Czech film distribution 1989 - 1993
Abstract:
Práce si klade za úkol zmapovat vývoj v české filmové distribuci mezi lety 1989 a 1993. Toto období je spojeno s největšími změnami v kinematografii od jejího znárodnění v roce 1945. Šlo v podstatě o obrácený proces. Vedle privatizace prošla filmová distribuce také množstvím dalších změn, které se dotkly všech jejích článků.
Abstract:
This text covers a development on field of film distribution in Czech Republic from 1989 to 1993. Beginning of this period is marked by a change of political conditions in former Czechoslovakia in 1989 which provided a starting point for a transformation of its economics and legal system. Film distribution came completely in private hands till 1993.
