Exhaust emission reduction systems for internal combustion engines

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vznikem a složením emisí, které jsou vytvářeny při provozu spalovacích motorů. V této práci jsou prezentovány konstrukční řešení u zážehových a vznětových spalovacích motorů včetně technických opatření, které redukují hodnoty škodlivin ve výfukových plynech. Opatření mající vliv na redukci škodlivin jsou rozdělena podle místa vzniku škodlivin nebo místa, kde dochází k redukci emisí. Pro pochopení problematiky emisí, jsou v další části popsány emisní limity a zkoušky, které je nutno při uvedení typu vozidla na trh splnit. V závěru jsou provedeny emisní testy na vzorku deseti vozidel a jejich vyhodnocení.

Abstract:

This Bachelor’s thesis deals with the formation and composition of emissions generated by the operation of combustion engines. This thesis presents design solutions in spark-ignition engines and diesel combustion engines including technical measures that reduce values of noxious substances in exhaust gasses. The measures with impact on reduction of noxious substances are divided according to the place where these substances are generated or the place where emissions are reduced. To understand the issue of emissions, emission standards and tests, which need to be met when the model is introduced into the market, are described in another part of this thesis. At the end of the thesis, emission tests on the sample of then cars are performed and their evaluation is done.
