Partner relations and sexuality during pregnancy and after childbirth

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce „Partnerské vztahy a sexualita v těhotenství a po porodu“ obsahuje základní informace o změnách v partnerských vztazích a sexuality v průběhu těhotenství a po porodu. Teoretická část se zabývá sexualitou člověka, rozdíly mezi mužskou a ženskou sexualitou, problematikou těhotenství, porodu a šestinedělí. V praktické části byly zpracovány a vyhodnoceny informace dotazníkovým šetřením. Osloveni byly jak ženy, tak muži, kteří tvořili pár nebo byli vybráni náhodně. Výsledky jsou prezentovány pomocí tabulek a grafů. Závěrem lze říci, že v těhotenství dochází ke změnám v partnerských vztazích. Zejména je to aktivní zapojení partnera do procesu přípravy na rodičovství a změna životních priorit budoucí matky a otce. V těhotenství platí obecný vzorec klesajícího, stoupajícího a opět klesajícího zájmu o sex v závislosti na stupni těhotenství. Ženy jsou dostatečně informované o vhodnosti a možnostech intimního života v těhotenství. Po porodu prochází vztah dalšími změnami. Partner je opět aktivně zapojen do procesu péče o dítě a domácnost. Po porodu klesá zájem o sexuální život. Ženy jsou taktéž dostatečně informované o vhodném načasování intimního života po porodu.

Abstract:

This work "Partner Relationship and Sexuality During Pregnancy and After Birth" contains basic information about changes in the relationship between partners including intimacy and sexuality during the pregnancy and after the childbirth. The theoretical part deals with human sexuality, the differences between male and female sexuality, problems of pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum. The practical parts were processed and evaluated by an informational questionnaire survey. Both men and women contacted were selected at random. Results are presented using tables and graphs. The summary of the results reflect that during pregnancy there are changes in the partners’ relationships. In particular, the active involvement of partners in the process of preparing for parenthood and changes in life priorities for future mothers and fathers. During pregnancy, the general pattern reflects decrease, then increase again and the overall declining interest in sex, which is dependent on the stage of the pregnancy. Women are well informed about the appropriateness and possibilities of an intimate life during the pregnancy. After the birth, the relationship goes through other changes. The partner is again actively involved in the process of child raising and taking care of the household. After the birth, there appears to be a declining interest in sex. Women are also well informed about the appropriate timing of intimacy after the birth.
