Woman´s Urinary Incontinence and Its Influence on Quality of Life

Abstract:

Má bakalářská práce se zabývá problémem močové inkontinence u žen, a jaký vliv na kvalitu života sebou daný problém nese. Práce je rozdělená na část teoretickou a část praktickou. V teoretické části se práce zaměřuje na problematiku močové inkontinence obecně, a také pojmem kvalita života. Nastiňuje rozdělení, diagnostiku, terapii a prevenci močové inkontinence a v neposlední řadě také poukazuje na psychosociální a ekonomické důsledky močové inkontinence. Pojem kvalita života je zde vysvětlen jak obecně, tak také se zaměřením přímo na močovou inkontinenci. V praktické části jsou vypracovány dvě výzkumné kazuistiky žen trpící močovou inkontinencí, přičemž jedna žena trpí stresovou a druhá urgentní formou onemocnění. Popsány jsou jejich subjektivní pocity a prožitky jak během onemocnění, tak během léčby a po léčbě. K vypracování kazuistik byly použity nestandardizované rozhovory. Cílem praktické části je posoudit jak močová inkontinence ovlivňuje kvalitu života ženy po všech stránkách jejího života a jak samotná žena vnímá toto onemocnění, potažmo i terapii.

Abstract:

My bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of female urinary incontinence, and the influence it has on the quality of life. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part this work engaded in urinary inkontinence in general, and the koncept of quality of life. It outlines the division, diagnosis, therapy and prevention of urinary incontinence and also points out the psychosocial and economical consequences of urinary incontinence. The term ?quality of life? is explained both generally and with direct focus on urinary incontinence. In the practical part are developed two research casuistries of woman suffering from urinary inkontinence. One of these women suffers from a stress form and the second one from an urgent form of the disease. Here are described their subjective feelings and experience during the disease, the treatment and afterwards are also described. Nestandard. interviews were used to work up casuistries. Aim of the practical part is to assess how the urinary incontinence affects the quality of a woman?s life from all sides and how the woman herself perceives the disease and therapy.
