Abstract:

Abstrakt DlDiplomová práce oppisuje vývoj celovečerního hraného debutu po roce 1990 v Čechách především z pohledu producenta, ale i z pohledu režiséra.Práce je rozdělena do několika kapitol. První kapitola se věnuje historii filmového celovečerního debutu v Čechách od roku 1990 do roku 2006. Druhá kapitola se týká absolventů FAMU a spolupráce více debutantů na jednom projektu. Dále se zabývá možnostmi financování, které organizace podporují vznik debutu a postojem České televize. Vytvořila jsem dotazník, který jsem poslala nejdůležitějším českým filmovým producentům dnešní doby a z mého hlediska jejich odpovědi mohou být další generaci producentů ponaučením. Dále se práce zaobírá PR a distribucí, jejich specifiky ve spojení s debutem a filmovými festivaly a cenami zaměřenými na celovečerní hraný debut. V závěru práce hodnotím rizika a výhody producenta, který se rozhodne natočit debut.

Abstract:

The thesis describes the development of a feature film debut after 1990 in the Czech Republic, above all, from the viewpoint of a producer but also from the point of view of a director.The work is divided into several chapters. The first chapter focuses on the history of feature film debuts in the Czech Republic between 1990 and 2006. The second chapter concerns FAMU (Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague) graduates and the co-operation of more debutants on a single project. It is further focused on the funding opportunities, on which organizations support the origination of debuts and on the attitude of the Czech Television. I developed a questionnaire which I sent to the most important Czech film producers of today and, in my opinion, their answers may represent a lesson to be learned by the next generation of producers. The work also addresses PR and distribution, their specific features as related to debuts and film festivals and awards focused on feature film debuts. My work is concluded by an assessment of risks and advantages of shooting a debut for a producer.
