The conservative approach and post-surgical rehabilitation for rotator cuff injury in a patient who practices crossfit: case report

Abstract:

In the field of shoulder pathologies, lesions of the rotator cuff tendons represent a pathology that is frequently found, especially in subjects over 50 years of age. However, even in younger subjects who subject the scapulohumeral joint to important stresses, particularly in work or sports activities above the head, such injuries can be found. The presence of a lesion of the tendons of the rotator cuff is not necessarily an indication for surgery.

Abstract:

Nell'ambito delle patologie della spalla, le lesioni dei tendini della cuffia dei rotatori rappresentano una patologia che si riscontra frequentemente, soprattutto in soggetti oltre i 50anni. Tuttavia,ancheinsoggetti pi? giovani che sottopongono l'articolazione scapolo-omerale a importanti stress, in particolare nelle attivit? lavorative o sportive sopra la testa, si possono riscontrare tali lesioni. La presenza di una lesione dei tendini della cuffia dei rotatori non rappresenta obbligatoriamente un'indicazione all'intervento chirurgico.
