Clearing payment system in European conditions

Abstract:

In my dissertation work I address the clearing payment system in European conditions. I occupy myself with the theoretical aspects of the clearing, a system based on the principals of clearance within the homeland and the system on the principals of correspondence banking, in case that a bank enters into the relations with abroad. I analyze the classification of payment system and the most commonly used payment instruments. I present the electronic banking as the modern instrument of noncash payment relations. In relation with the integration of the Slovak republic to the European Monetary Union, I pay my attention to the payment systems in Europe and to the compatibility of our national systems with the ones in European Union. In the second part I focus on analysis of the clearing system of Dexia banka Slovensko a.s. and I describe the services that the bank offers in the scope of homeland and foreign clearing system. In the final part of my work I describe the homeland and international transactions as the most frequently used payment instruments in the commercial relations in light with the introduction of Euro as the new national currency.

Abstract:

V diplomovej práci sa venujem problematike bezhotovostného platobného styku v európskych podmienkach. Zapodievam sa teoretickými aspektmi bezhotovostného platobného styku, systémom na princípe clearingového zúčtovania v rámci tuzemska a systémom na princípe korešpondenčného bankovníctva, v prípade, že banka vstupuje do vzťahov so zahraničím. Rozoberám členenie platobného styku a najbežnejšie využívané platobné nástroje. Prezentujem elektronické bankovníctvo ako moderný nástroj bezhotovostného platobného styku. V súvislosti so vstupom Slovenskej republiky do EMÚ venujem pozornosť platobným systémom v Európe a kompatibilnosť nášho národného systému s týmito systémami. V druhej časti sa venujem analýze bezhotovostného platobného styku v podmienkach Dexia banky Slovensko a.s. a popisujem ponúkané služby v oblasti tuzemského a zahraničného platobného styku. V závere práce hodnotím tuzemské a cezhraničné prevody ako najpoužívanejšie platobné nástroje v obchodnom styku v súvislosti so zavedením novej národnej meny euro.
