Analysis and comparison of combined and road transport

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce si bere za cíl analýzu silniční a kombinované přepravy. Přepravy jsou porovnány z hlediska nákladové náročnosti. Toho je docíleno na základě kalkulace nákladů jednotlivých přeprav vybranou metodikou. Náklady obou přeprav jsou kalkulovány v rámci dvou simulovaných tras, které se liší celkovou vzdáleností a vzdáleností bodů odeslání a doručení od terminálu. To jsou také dva hlavní parametry, které zkoumají hypotézy diplomové práce. Teoretická část se zabývá nejprve problematikou intermodální přepravy a poté přepravou kombinovanou, které tvoří subsystém přepravy intermodální. V rámci těchto kapitol se práce mimo jiné zabývá současnou situací v Evropě a České republice. Dále se teoretická část zaobírá intermodálními přepravními jednotkami a systémy manipulace těchto přepravních jednotek. Nakonec se teoretická část věnuje typům železničních vozů, které jsou využívány v rámci kombinované přepravy. Praktická část se zabývá již zmiňovanou kalkulací nákladů a také sestavením návrhu pravidelné kontejnerové linky. V závěru jsou vyvráceny či potvrzeny hypotézy diplomové práce a shrnuto téma kombinované přepravy. Diplomová práce byla vypracována ve spolupráci se společností Medlog Czech Republic s.r.o.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis aims to analyze road and combined transport. Transports are compared in terms of cost intensity. This is achieved on the basis of calculation of the cost of individual transports using the selected methodology. The costs of both transports are calculated within two simulated routes, which differ in total distance and the distance of the departure and delivery points from terminal. These are also the two main parameters that examine the hypotheses of the thesis. The theoretical part first deals with the issue of intermodal transport and then combined transport, which forms the subsystem of intermodal transport. Within these chapters, the thesis deals with the current situation in Europe and Czech Republic, among other things. Furthermore, the theoretical part deals with intermodal transport units and handling systems of these transport units. Finally, the theoretical part is devoted to the types of realway cars that are used in combined transport. The practical part deals with the already mentioned cost calculation and also with the design of a regular container line. In the conclusion, the hypotheses of the diploma thesis are refuted or comfirmed and the topic of combined transport is summarized. The diploma thesis was developed in cooperation with the company Medlog, a.s.
