Forensic handwriting examination - possibilities of use in criminology

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá znaleckým zkoumáním ručního písma a jeho možnostmi využití v kriminalistice. Cílem je seznámení s písmoznalectvím jako metodou kriminalistické identifikace. V práci je stručně popsána historie samotného písmoznalectví či představen proces individualizace stylu rukopisu a faktory, které jej ovlivňují. Práce se věnuje metodám, technickým prostředkům a fázím používaných při písmoznaleckém zkoumání, jako i osobě soudního znalce z pohledu platné právní úpravy a využití znaleckých posudků jako důkazního prostředku v trestním řízení.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the expert examination of handwriting and its possible use in criminalistics. The aim is to introduce handwriting examination as a method of criminalistic identification. The thesis briefly describes the history of handwriting forensics itself or presents the process of handwriting style individualization and the factors that influence it. The thesis is devoted to the methods, technical means and phases used in letter examination, as well as the person of the forensic expert from the point of view of the current legislation and the use of expert opinions as a means of evidence in criminal proceedings.
