Coconut oil
Abstract:
The objective of this thesis is to describe coconut oil and its health effects, to compare it's chemical composition and nutrition value with some other vegetable oils and animal fats. It also describes the main crop for the production of coconut oil and two possible ways of its production. The practical part is aimed at the knowledge about coconut oil and its consumption by the general public.

Táto práca sa zaoberá problematikou kokosového tuku počínajúc popísaním kokosovníka orechoplodého a možnosťami získavania kokosového tuku z kokosového orecha. Cieľom práce bolo popísať vlastnosti a účinky kokosového tuku na organizmus a porovnať ho s vybranými rastlinnými olejmi a živočíšnymi tukmi z hľadiska chemického zloženia a nutričných hodnôt.
