The possibilities of Occupational Therapy for patients after a distal forearm fracture

Abstract:

Předmětem této bakalářské práce je zpracování problematiky fraktur distálního předloktí. Celá práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a praktickou, z níž teoretická obsahuje šest kapitol. V první kapitole se autor zabývá anatomií distální části předloktí. V druhé jsou popsány kineziologické aspekty jednotlivých pohybů. Třetí je zaměřená na klasifikaci zlomenin, a to jak u dospělých, tak u dětí. Čtvrtá část podrobně popisuje léčebné postupy u fraktur distálního předloktí. Na ní následně navazuje pátá, která se zaobírá možnými časnými a pozdními komplikacemi. Poslední kapitola popisuje samotnou ergoterapii a techniky, které se u těchto zlomenin provádějí. Praktická část je napsána v podobě dvou kazuistik pacientek, u kterých je popsáno vstupní, průběžné, výstupní vyšetření a celkové zhodnocení jejich zdravotních stavů.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the problems of a distal forearm fracture. The whole paper is divided into a theoretical and a practical part whilst the theoretical one contains six chapters. In the first chapter, the author investigates the anatomy of a distal part of the forearm. The second section describes various aspects of kinesiology of individiual movements. The third part is focused on a clasification of fractures among the adults as well as the children. The fourth chapter is deeply concerned with medical procedures of the distal forearm fractures which is then subsequently followed by the fifth section, where possible early and late complications are taken into account. The last chapter mainly talks about Occupational Therapy and various techniques which are used for these types of fractures. The practical part is written in the form of two casuitries where input, continuous and output examination is described, as well as the overall evaluation of their state of health.
