The path to towards Tai-chi: seing the world from a new perspective

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá čínským bojovým uměním taiči a lidmi, kteří ho praktikují. Zaměřuje se jak na vznik, tak i vývoj taiči a jeho porovnání s jinými bojovými uměními. Věnuje se nejen důvodům, které vedly praktikující k tomuto cvičení, ale také následným změnám po psychické či fyzické stránce, které u nich proběhly. Hlavním cílem je vyzkoumat vliv taiči na život jednotlivce. Práce vychází z interakcí s informačními partnery a z poznatků pečlivě vedeného vlastního terénního deníku, kdy byla použita karnální metoda. Opírá se o relevantní teoretickou literaturu.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the Chinese martial art of Tai chi and people who practice it. It focuses on both the creation and the development of Tai chi and its comparison with other martial arts. This thesis is dedicated not only to the reasons which led the practicing people to this exercise, but also their following changes on mental and physical parts which experienced them. The main objective is to investigate the effect of Tai chi on an individual's life. The work is based on interactions with my informants and based on information of carefully conducted of my own field diary in which was used carnal method. It relies on relevant theoretical literature.
