Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem konkurenceschopnosti cestovního ruchu. Studium konkurenceschopnosti cestovního ruchu a jeho hodnocení je v současné době aktuální zejména díky rostoucí pozici cestovního ruchu a jeho vlivu na národní hospodářství. V posledních letech dochází k nárůstu nových moderních forem a ze strany návštěvníků jsou na odvětví cestovního ruchu kladeny vyšší nároky. Diplomová práce se zabývá nejen teoretickým vymezením cestovního ruchu a konkurenceschopnosti, která se jako klíčový faktor úspěchu stala tématem mnoha autorů, ale také samotným výpočtem hodnot indexu konkurenceschopnosti cestovního ruchu v krajích České republiky za rok 2018. Výpočet byl inspirován publikací Světového ekonomického fóra, které však konkurenceschopnost cestovního ruchu hodnotí pouze na úrovni států a neobsahuje dílčí regionální hodnocení. V práci byla ověřována jedna hypotéza, která se nepotvrdila, tudíž tvrzení, čím vyšší podíl zahraničních návštěvníků, tím vyšší hodnota indexukonkurenceschopnosti cestovního ruchu v krajích České republiky, neplatí.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the theme of tourism competitiveness. Study of the competitiveness of tourism and its evaluation is currently up-to-date due to the growing position of tourism and its impact on the national economy. In recent years, there has been an increase in new modern forms and visitors have placed higher demands on the tourism industry. The diploma thesis deals not only with the theoretical definition of tourism and competitiveness, which became a key success factor for many authors but also with the calculation of the index of tourism competitiveness in the regions in the Czech Republic in 2018. The calculation was inspired by the World Economic Forum publication which compares tourism only at the national level and does not include a regional evaluation. In diploma thesis was verified one hypothesis. The hypothesis was not confirmed, and therefore the claim the higher the proportion of foreign visitors, the higher the value of the tourism competitiveness index, is not valid.
