The Prosocial aspects of behavior of the high schools students of chosing branches

Abstract:

Ve své diplomové práci se zabývám, jak už samotný název napovídá, problematikou prosociálního chování, a to u studentů vybraných středních škol. V teoretické části této práce, která je rozdělena do dvou kapitol, se věnuji zejména vy-mezení klíčových pojmů, s nimiž v textu pracuji, a jež se vztahují ke druhé části práce, tedy k výzkumné studii. V první kapitole se soustředím především na problematiku proso-ciálního chování. Zabývám se zde jeho vývojem, situacemi a podmínkami, za kterých lidé pomáhají a motivačním teoriím. Pozornost upírám také na jednotlivé formy (druhy) proso-ciálního chování a na charakteristiky prosociální osobnosti. Druhá kapitola mé diplomové práce pojednává o empatii a genderu v kontextu prosociálního chování. Věnuji se zde jed-nak vymezení pojmu empatie, ale také konceptualizaci tohoto jevu. Stručně prezentuji vý-voj empatie, vztah empatie k prosociálnímu chování i genderu. Dále zpracovávám témati-ku genderu v kontextu prosociálního chování. Pokouším se vymezit tento pojem a nastínit vývoj genderové (pohlavní) identity a vztah pohlaví k prosociálnímu chování. Ve výzkumné části mé diplomové práce prezentuji cíle, metodiku a výsledky kvantita-tivního výzkumu, jež jsem prováděla na středních školách. Cílem výzkumné části této di-plomové práce bylo zjistit rozdíly v úrovni prosociálních a empatických tendencí, a to v souvislosti s pohlavím respondentů a jejich oborovou zaměřeností.

Abstract:

In my dissertation I am concerned, as the name itself suggests, with the issue of proso-cial behavior, of the students from selected secondary schools. In the theoretical part of this paper, which is divided into two chapters, I am specifying especially definition of key concepts in the text that I am working with, applying to the second part, ergo, the research study. In the first chapter, I focus primarily on the issues of prosocial behavior. Here I deal with its development, situations and conditions under which people help and motivational theories. Attention is also focused on different forms (species) of prosocial behavior and prosocial personality characteristics. The second chap-ter of my thesis deals with empathy and gender. Here I deal with the definition of empathy, but also with the conceptualization of this phenomenon. I am briefly presenting the deve-lopment of empathy, relationship of empathy with prosocial behavior and gender. Fur-thermore processing theme of gender in the context of prosocial behavior. I am trying to define this concept and outline the development of the gender (sex) identity and relationship to prosocial behavior. In the research part of my thesis I am presenting the goals, methodology and results of quantitative research that I have been conducted at secondary schools. The aim of the research part of this thesis was to determine differences in levels of prosocial and empathetic tendencies, in relation to the gender of respondents and their departmental preoccupation.
