There is initially introduced the linguistic discipline that studies the relationship between language and society, its main fields of interest and the influence of such factors as age and gender on the language form. Bakalářská práce se zabývá jazykem užívaným v lifestylových magazínech. Nejprve je představena jazykovědná disciplína, která studuje vztahy mezi jazykem a společností, její hlavní oblasti zájmu a vliv faktorů pohlaví a věku na podobu jazyka.
