Abstract:
The bachelor thesis deals with the Moneyball phenomenon unleashed in 2003 by Michael Lewis' bestseller Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game. In this book, Lewis describes the adaptation of data analytics by the manager of the Oakland Athletics baseball club, thanks to which he was able to exploit the imperfections of existing metrics and build a winning team even with a small budget.
