Tatoo in social anthropology

Abstract:

Hlavním tématem této práce je tetování v České republice z hlediska sociální antropologie. Tato práce se bude snažit poukázat na to, že význam tetování se mění v závislosti s tím, jak na něj pohlížíme. Jsou zde dvě velká témata, která se pojí s tetováním, a to tetování jako symbol krásy nebo tetování jako cejch. V souvislosti nejprve uvidíme, že krása a to, co je vnímáno jako krásné, je velmi rozdílné mezi různými kulturami. V části o kráse se budeme zabývat tetováním mezi slavnými i obyčejnými lidmi, stejně jako motivem tetování, který se vyskytuje v módním průmyslu. Druhá velká část se věnuje tetování jako formě cejchu, který může stigmatizovat. Společenské skupiny, kterých se stigmatizace týká, a bude jim poskytnut prostor v této práci, jsou hlavně vojáci a vězni. Tato bakalářská práce vznikala jako induktivní výzkum, hlavní metoda, která byla použita, byla analýza literatury, časopisů, článků nebo internetových zdrojů které měly souvislost s tetováním v různých historických obdobích v České republice, kdy nejstarší analyzované materiály vyšly ještě v 19. století.

Abstract:

The main aim of this work is tattooing in the Czech Republic from the point of view of social anthropology. This work will try to point out that the meaning of tattoos varies depending on how we look at it. There are two themes that tangle with tattoos, tattoo as a symbol of beauty or tattoo as a tune. First of all, we will see that beauty and what is perceived as beautiful is very different between different cultures. In the party of beauty we will deal with tattoos among famous and ordinary people as well as the motif of tattoos that is found in the fashion industry. The second part deals with tattooing as a form of mastery that can stigmatize. Social groups which are affected by stigma and they are immportant for this work are mainly soldiers and prisoners. This bachelor's thesis originated as an inductive research, the main method used was the analysis of literature, magazines, articles or internet resources that were related to tattoos in various historical periods in the Czech republic, when the oldest analyzed materials were published in the 19th century.
