Invertebrates and their interactions with foreign substances in the environment

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá působením těžkých kovů na bezobratlé živočichy se zřetelem na brouky z čeledi střevlíkovitých. V době výrazného narušení životního prostředí člověkem jsou totiž tito živočichové často vhodným indikátorem stavu prostředí a jejich výzkum má proto rostoucí význam. Cílem práce bylo vypracovat literární přehled nejnovější literatury a také zpracovat případovou studii z dat poskytnutých školitelem. K tvorbě literární rešerše bylo využito především literatury z let 2008-2023. Zvláštní pozornost byla věnována čeledi střevlíkovitých (Carabidae), kteří byli využiti k vypracování případové studie. Zvyšující se zájem vědecké veřejnosti o toto téma je potvrzen významným nárůstem publikací v posledních letech. Pro vypracování případové studie byly školitelem poskytnuta data, která pak byla vyhodnocována vhodnými statistickými nástroji. Výsledkem studie je potvrzení hypotézy – akumulace kovů v tělech střevlíkovitých nevykazuje obecný trend, ale závisí na druhu a pohlaví.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the effect of heavy metals on invertebrates with regard to beetles from the ground beetle family. In times of significant human disturbance of the environment, these animals are often a suitable indicator of the state of the environment, and their research is therefore of increasing importance. The aim of the work was to create a literature review of the latest literature and also to prepare a case study from the data provided by the supervisor. Literature from the years 2008-2023 was mainly used to create the literary review. Special attention was paid to the ground beetle family (Carabidae), which were used to develop a case study. The increasing interest of the scientific public in this topic is confirmed by a significant increase in publications in recent years. Data was provided by the supervisor for the development of the case study, which was then evaluated using appropriate statistical tools. The result of the study is the confirmation of the hypothesis – the accumulation of metals in the bodies of ground beetles does not show a general trend, but depends on the species and sex.
