Management of Postterm Pregnancy from a Midwife's Perspective

Abstract:

STEHLÍKOVÁ BELUŠÍKOVÁ, Barbora. Potermínová gravidita a její vedení z pohledu porodní asistentky. Vysoká škola zdravotnická, o. p. s. Stupeň kvalifikace: Bakalář (Bc.). Vedoucí práce: Bc. Taťána Kalinová. Praha 2023. 76 stran. Tématem bakalářské práce je potermínová gravidita a její vedení z pohledu porodní asistentky. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí, teoretické a praktické. Kapitoly obsažené v teoretické části práce zahrnují způsoby, jimiž lze stanovit předpokládaný termín porodu, definici pojmu potermínová gravidita, její etiologii a také prevenci, rizika potermínové gravidity pro matku i plod, systém péče o těhotnou ženu po stanoveném termínu porodu v České republice, a metody preindukce a indukce porodu, včetně kontraindikací. Tematika potermínové gravidity je v práci prezentována v souladu s platnými doporučenými postupy ČGPS ČLS JEP. V praktické části práce byla zpracována kazuistika pacientky s potermínovou graviditou. Byl popsán průběh jejího těhotenství, průběh preindukce a indukce porodu, samotný porod a první dny po porodu, kdy byla pacientka hospitalizována.

STEHLÍKOVÁ BELUŠÍKOVÁ, Barbora. Management of Post-term Pregnancy from a Midwife's Perspective. Medical College. Degree: Bachelor (Bc.). Supervisor: Bc. Taťána Kalinová. Prague. 2023. 76 pages. The main topic of this bachelor thesis is post-term pregnancy and its management from the midwife's perspective. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The chapters contained in the theoretical part of the thesis include the methods of determining the expected date of delivery, the definition of the post-term pregnancy, its etiology and prevention, the risks of post-term pregnancy for both mother and fetus, the system of care for pregnant women after the due date in the Czech Republic, and methods of preinduction and induction of labour, including contraindications. The topic of post-term pregnancy is presented in the thesis in accordance with the current recommended procedures of the Czech Society for Pregnancy and Childbirth (ČGPS ČLS JEP). In the practical part of the thesis, a case report of a patient with post-term pregnancy was prepared. The course of her pregnancy, the course of preinduction and induction of labour, the delivery itself and the first days after delivery when the patient was hospitalized were described. After the patient's consent, an interview was conducted in which the patient described how she perceived some important moments of pregnancy, labour and six weeks after the post-term labour.
