Factors influencing Czech tourists when choosing the USA as a travel destination

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na Spojené státy americké jako cílovou destinaci a zkoumá faktory ovlivňující české turisty při výběru této destinace pro poznávací dovolenou. Jejím cílem je zjistit, které faktory jsou pro české cestující rozhodující při výběru této destinace a jaké jsou jejich preference. V teoretické části jsou vymezeny jednotlivé pojmy a definice týkající se cestovního ruchu, rozdíl mezi organizovaným a neorganizovaným cestovním ruchem, obecné informace o USA včetně podmínek vstupu a dále také informace týkající se ekonomiky cestovního ruchu včetně statistik návštěvnosti USA českými a zahraničními turisty a statistik návštěvnosti ČR americkými turisty. V praktické části je nejprve porovnána nabídka tří českých cestovních kanceláří, včetně porovnání nabídky poznávacího zájezdu do New Yorku, a následně je vyhodnocen dotazník na základě kterého je dosažen cíl práce a zodpovězena výzkumná otázka.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis is focused on the United States of America as a destination and examines the factors influencing Czech tourists when choosing this destination for a sightseeing vacation. The aim of this study is to identify what factors are decisive for Czech travellers when choosing this destination and what their preferences are. In the theoretical part, individual concepts and definitions related to tourism are defined, the difference between organised and independent tourism, general information about the USA, including entry conditions, and also information related to the economy of tourism, including statistics on visits to the USA by Czech and foreign tourists and visitation statistics of the Czech Republic by American tourists. In the practical part, the offer of three Czech travel agencies is first compared, including a comparison of the offer of a package tour to New York, and then a questionnaire is evaluated, based on which the goal of the thesis is achieved and the research question is answered.
