The Most Important Music Foundations in Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „ Nejvýznamnější české hudební nadace“ pojednává o vývoji českých hudebních nadací, o významu a úloze nadací v současnosti. Zaměřuje se na hudební nadace, které významně podporují rozvoj kultury a hudebního umění v České republice. Jako tři nejdůležitější nadace uvádí Nadaci Český hudební fond, Nadaci Leoše Janáčka a Nadaci Bohuslava Martinů, jejich činnost a především podporu mladých začínajících hudebníků. Přibližuje nejen jejich konkrétní nadační dary, ale také proces schvalování žádostí a možnosti žadatelů získat příspěvek pro svoji činnost. Srovnává tři významné nadace v jejich schopnostech i vstřícnosti k žadatelům. Předkládá mimořádné projekty, kterými je každá z těchto nadací výjimečná a snaží se motivovat umělce ke stále lepším uměleckým výkonům a k propagaci české kultury nejen u nás, ale i v zahraničí.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis “The most important music foundations in the Czech Republic” deals with the evolution of Czech music foundations and also with their importance and function nowadays. It is focused on music foundations that significantly support development of culture and music art in the Czech Republic. As the three most important foundations are listed The Czech Music Fund Foundation, The Fund of Leoš Janáček and The Fund of Bohuslav Martinů. This dissertation clarifies their work, the support of young Czech musicians, the process of confirmation of applications and possibilities of getting grant for particular project or work. It draws a comparison between these three foundations, their abilities and helpfulness to applicants. There are presented exceptional projects which are specific for each of these foundations and which are motivating artists for better and better performances and also propagation of Czech culture not only in our country but also abroad.
